Madhav and Murari are both names of Lord Krishna, who is shown here as playing the flute for his loving cohort, Radha. It is said that even today, Radha and Krishna come to Nidhivan in the forest temple of Vrindavan every night to perform the divine dance in the form of Raas Leela.
