ABOUT S.H. RAZA
The Paris based artist and India’s foremost modern painter, S. H. Raza created his own text for modernism, devolved in equal measure on his cultural roots, both East and West. Raza’s work, heavy with Hindu metaphysical symbolism, explores concepts such as the “Panchtatva”, or the five elements of nature. At the centre of which is the “Bindu” – the ubiquitous symbol for the seed, the potential of all life, that features significantly throughout his work.
